Genesis 1:27
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
God created you as you are. How awesome is that? He decided what you would look like. He calls you beautiful. He gave you to the world because He knew the world needed you. It needed a Kesha, Jaime, Tyrone, Morgan, John, ... The world wouldn’t be the same without you. Although you may not think you make a difference, you do. Your absence would be felt by family, friends, acquaintances and even strangers. You are meant to be her. You are a gift to the world. No one impacts the world like you do. You have the ability to bring joy like no other. You bring beauty and love like no other. God knew what He was doing. If you could see yourself as He sees you and how all those that love you see you, you would be amazed. But you put your energy into seeing yourself as broken. You see you how a bad day sees you. You see you how a desperate person sees you. You measure yourself by what you assume others are thinking of you.
The enemy works hard to get you to believe you are not beautiful, not worthy of anything good, and are a failure. You make a mistake and he will whisper, “your messed up again.” You lose your temper and he will make you question your stability. You become sad and he tells you that you shouldn’t be sad, so you question your feelings. He doesn’t want you to feel your feelings. He wants you to distract yourself and shove those feelings down. You put faith in these whispers. You believe them without question. Why are you quick to believe these things without proof? What else do you put faith in without any evidence at all? Could you extend unquestionable faith to your Father? Could you extend it to goodness and being positive rather than darkness and negativity?
God calls you to see your beauty. He calls you to enjoy life. Have unquestionable faith in God, His love, and His goodness. Have unquestionable doubt in what the enemy whispers. Believe you are here for a reason. Your presence is a good thing. Your smile is a blessing. Proceed with confidence that your Father gave you this life as a gift. Life isn’t supposed to be heavy and filled with worry. Don’t question if you are lovable. You are always lovable. You are lovable when you make mistakes, when you fail, and even when you make poor decisions. God’s love is unconditional. It may be hard for others to extend love to you. This lack of extension is not due to anything on your part. It is a reflection where the other person is at in life and what they are dealing with. Love can only be freely given to others after it is given to oneself first.
Extend kindness to yourself. Listen to you and your needs. Allow yourself to be uncomfortable in order to stretch yourself and create a new mindset about you. When all else fails and you just don’t feel worthy seek Him, the one who created you.
Prayer
Father God,
Thank You for creating me just the way I am. Thank You for calling me beautiful and calling me to be. Forgive me for neglecting to see the beauty You have created. Forgive me for failing to see how treasured I am. You provide strength. May I have unquestionable faith in You and Your goodness. Give me the grace to extend loving kindness to myself and see me as You see me. Help me to stretch, grow and continually move toward a positive mindset.
In Jesus' name,
Amen
