Dear Rebecca

I was very pleased to see you today. It has been awhile since you last spent time with me. I enjoyed our time together and always cherish every moment of your visits.

I know you are going through a difficult time right now. Growing up isn’t always easy. You are not alone. You are not the only one who faces these trials. There are many who are and have had difficulty. This is a time of transition where you must gradually take responsibility for yourself. In doing so you slowly break away from your parents. Parts of you want to hold on for security sake and other parts want so desperately to let go. Balancing this battle isn’t easy. But you have done a wonderful job.

I’ve witnessed your rebellious behavior but that is part of growth. I am proud of you because you have entered the fight to find yourself. I have seen the progress you have made. You and your parents may not be aware of it but I am. You My child will be just fine. This is all part of your journey into adulthood. It’s hard to let go of childhood. Know, however, that there are just as many wonders awaiting you in adulthood as there were in childhood. I will be beside you every step of the way. Be at peace my child. I love you very much.

Much love,

Christ
