Doubt

Proverbs 3:6

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths

No Body Loves Me Like You

Do you doubt yourself? Do you doubt God? Doubt will cripple you. It limits you. Doubt focuses attention on all you think you can’t do instead of all God has equipped you to do. Doubt slips in quietly and grows little by little. You don’t even realize what is happening until it has consumed you. It starts with a whisper. You can’t do that. No one thinks that is a good idea. Who do you think you are? You are going to mess everything up. Doubt is rooted in fear. It turns God’s yeses into maybes and definitely nos. It tells you that you aren’t worthy. Don’t rock the boat. Don’t make a bold move. What if you are wrong?

Doubt is the opposite of faith. It pulls you to turn away from God. You are built for more than just getting by. You are meant to make bold moves and trust God will be there, always be there, to catch you and guide you. He roots for you to succeed. Doubt wants to prevent you from doing the right thing. What starts out with a small whisper disrupts so much. It prevents you from standing up for good. It stops you from putting love first.

The enemy is the root of doubt. Believing your doubts is believing the enemy’s lies. He works hard to knock you down, stop you from making bold moves and standing up for what is right. He wants you to live in the safety zone. His main goal is to get you to doubt God. A little doubt in God goes a long way. It causes you to lean towards man and rely on man over God. It leads to spreading fear and hate in the name of God.

Doubt is powerful. You must recognize it and stop it as soon as it starts to whisper. Turn away and listen to your Father. He believes in you. He is not the maker of those doubts. He is the maker of all things possible.

Conquer doubt with pausing, proclaiming and praising. Pause and sit in silence. Take a few deep breathes. Proclaim God is in control and proclaim all He is doing and will do. Praise the Father. Verbalize five things you are thankful for. God is working for you. Focus on His goodness. Recognize He is all powerful and not only has a good plan but great timing for that plan. He can and will move mountains for you. Do not doubt yourself. When you do you doubt God and His ability to work through you for good. Tell your doubt Gods got this! Rise up and praise His name.

Prayer

Dear Father,

Thank You for your constant love and patience with me. Thank You for helping me to recognize my doubts and question those doubts. Forgive me for the times I doubt You. I can fall into a pit of doubt and question You. I fail to recognize You always have my best interest in mind. Help me to always pause, proclaim and praise you when I start to doubt. Nobody loves me like You love me. In moments of doubt may I seek that love and not run from it.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
