God Mindset

Colossians 3:2

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

Are you in over your head? Feel lost? Can’t get a grip on peace, even for just a moment? Are you satisfied with just being, breathing, and sitting in silence? Or are you just restless? What are you searching for? There is a space you are trying to fill with everything but what perfectly fits there, God.

How do you get back to making it about God and not about all the other stuff? Develop a God mindset. A God mindset is open to all possibilities, accepts each moment for the moment it is, and let’s God take over. A God mindset doesn’t accept any thoughts that interfere with the awareness of God’s presence. It is kind to the one God created, you! A God mindset expects great things from God.

2 Timothy 1:7

I have not been given a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.

A God mindset loves what is. What if you could just love what is? You can get there. Having a God mindset is a process. It comes with devotion, prayer and determination. It comes with giving your heart to God. It requires being open to His truth. It starts with opening yourself up. God knows you better than anyone knows you, but part of building this relationship is communicating with Him. Share everything. Ask for help. If you struggle with pride, ask God to help you develop a heart of humbleness. If you struggle with stubbornness, ask God to help you become obedient and flexible. God already knows what you struggle with. He wants to help you have a God mindset in all parts of your life. You can’t compartmentalize God. Have a God mindset at work, at home, with friends and family and most of all with yourself.

God wants to help you through your difficult times. Hold on. Draw near to Him. Keep fighting. You are going to be just fine. God has a plan to bring you through the dark moments. Stay close to Him.

Prayer

Father God,

Thank you for giving me a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. Thank you for always being present and ready to listen and gently guide me. Forgive me for my times of stubbornness and pride. Forgive me for those times I believe I know what is best or I am just afraid to have faith and move in your direction. Bless me with the desire to have a God mindset. Help me to love what is, as it is, and know that if it should be any different you already have a plan. You will mend what is broken, guide the lost and bring peace to troubled souls.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
