God's Yes

Faithful

Psalm 46:10

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God

When God says yes do you believe Him? When you pray for something do you trust Him to answer your prays? The Holy Spirit guides you. This guidance is not just about what not to do or what won’t happen but what to do and promises of God’s blessings. You have strong no’s, but you also have strong yeses. You feel these in the core of your being. Believe those yeses. Embrace those yeses. Stay faithful by recognizing and acknowledging God’s yeses.

God wants to bless you and shower you with goodness. He wants you to live a life of joy. He speaks to you. He may not reveal everything. But there are times when He reveals a yes, a consider it done, or a this is taken care of. What do you do with that? Do you doubt? Do you question God’s ability to bless you or why He would bless you?

Where are you focusing? Do you see all God is doing in your life? Do you expect Him to work wonders? Do you walk in faith knowing His guidance is good? His no’s will guide you just as much as His yeses. Both come in His timing not yours. You may be praying for a new job, new relationship, end to a difficult situation, pay raise, a home to sell, or an answer to a question and God delivers. He may do so when you don’t expect it, or you think it isn’t ideal.

The enemy wants you questioning God’s no’s and to not believe in the power of God to deliver on His yeses. He wants you to question your worthiness of God’s yeses. He wants you replaying in your head all the possibilities and asking why. He doesn’t want you focused on all God delivers. When God says yes, the enemy doesn’t want you to hear it. He wants you always expecting a no and always disappointed. The enemy wants you to perceive God’s no’s as punishment and to believe you must earn the yes. If he can keep you focused on the no’s, impatient, and disappointed, he can shake your faith.

God doesn’t say no to punish you. See the no as God’s way to make a current or future yes work. When you get a no be grateful for God is at work setting up a yes! He is redirecting you to something better. Accept God’s no’s and move on. Embrace God’s yeses and be vocal about them. Don’t complain about the no’s. Praise the yeses. Listen for the yes of God. Watch Him make what you perceived as impossible possible.

Practice listening to God and believing what He tells you. Be driven by the Holy Spirit within you and not your own whims. Listen to the Holy Spirit and pray for acceptance. This will keep you from stress and worry. It will limit your emotional pain. Stay faithful. God is always at work.

Prayer

Dear Father God,

Thank you for always being at work. Thank you for Your yeses and Your no’s. Forgive me for questioning You. Forgive me for putting faith in anything but You. Today I will strive to see all You have blessed me with and be grateful for Your yeses and no's. Help me to surrender, be patient, listen and accept what is when I don't understand. Help me to lean into You and know all is well. May I remain faithful and aware of that You are always at work. May I always expect You to work things out.

In Jesus' name,

Amen
