Psalm 18.2
2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
God knows you. He knows your thoughts, your fears, your passion and your desires. He is your rock. He is your deliverer. He is strong for you when you are weak. He praises you when you condemn yourself. He carries your burden when you are tired. God knows you. He knows your struggles and your victories. Be open and honest with Him. Let Him know your anger, pain and disappointments. Let Him soothe your anxiety. Don’t limit God to just praying for what you want. Have a conversation with Him and tell Him who you are and what your needs are. Let down your guard with God. Open your heart to Him and let Him seep into every part of your life. Do not compartmentalize God. You may fool yourself, but you won’t fool God. You may try to hide from yourself, but you can’t hide from God. Don’t settle where you are at. Keep pressing forward. Keep moving. When you are in pain. Don’t ignore the pain. Don’t distract yourself and lie to yourself. Recognize it. Be honest about it with God. Give it to God.
Sometimes God asks you to endure and sometimes He asks you to do hard things. It may be confusing. You may try to fight it and do things your way. Instead fall on your knees in prayer. Fall on your knees in agony, in praise and in acceptance. Come to God as you are, weak, afraid, lonely. Come to God where you are. When you come to Him ready to let go the healing begins. God adores you in all your mess and all your questioning. When you don’t know what to say, Alleluia is simply enough. Alleluia says God is in control. Alleluia confirms God has a plan. Alleluia allows you to rest in the knowledge God is your provider.
Prayer
Father God,
Thank you for knowing me. Thank you for knowing my struggles, my fears and my anger. Thank you for loving me as I am. You see my disappointments and understand. You see the mess I can be and accept me right where I am at. Forgive me for hiding from you. Forgive me for not sharing all I am and coming to you as I am. You are there whether I am strong or fragile, happy or sad. You are there in my anger and gratitude. Guide me daily to open my heart to you. Guide me to be truthful with You and with myself. Help me to fall on my knees, not just when all else fails, but also when all is right. You are enough. Alleluia!
In Jesus name,
Amen
