Highest King

Ephesians 1:3

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

You cannot be who you are not. So be who you are. If you don’t know who you are, start with knowing you are a child of the highest King. You are wonderfully made from love and perfect intention. Start with knowing who you belong to. You belong to a loving Father who accepts and loves you where you are at.

The enemy knows who you belong to and works hard to try to get you to forget that. He knows you dwell in your Father’s house and he is trying to get you to step outside. He does it by planting thoughts of unworthiness in your head. He does it by conjuring up questions of doubt about yourself and your Father. He tells you that you are not enough, but God says you are enough. He tells you that you can’t move forward and overcome your struggles, but God says, with His strength, you can. The enemy whispers to you that other people are judging you, are upset with you, and don’t like you. But God says what matters is He accepts you and adores you. The enemy speaks lies and makes up stories. God speaks truth.

Dig deep when you are under attack. Let the enemy know that you know who you are and who you belong to. The enemy wants to knock you down and constantly introduce instability into your life. He doesn’t want you to have peace with who you are or who God is. Stand firm! Don’t be discouraged. Do not fear. Know who goes before you and protects you, God. There is always a place for you with God. You are who God says you are. He has a plan for you.

Choose God! Choose you!

Jeremiah 29: 11-13

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Prayer

Dear Father God,

Thank you for having a plan for me and creating me just the way I am. Thank you for understanding my struggles, for being by my side and on my side. Forgive me for the times I listen to the enemy’s lies and am easily persuaded. Forgive me for the times I don’t stand firm. Continue to remind me who I am. Help me to see that who I am, exactly as I am. I am a blessing. Your plan is to stretch me and move me forward. May I be patient in the moments when it doesn’t feel like there is any progress. May I remember this is Your plan and Your timing. Most of all may I always remember to choose You!

In Jesus Name,

Amen
