Psalm 30:1 NLT
I will exalt you, Lord, for you rescued me.
You refused to let my enemies’ triumph over me.
God has rescued you and planned a future for you. You must trust that future to His care. He has done much work and continues to do much work in you to prepare you for this future. At times it can feel like He has stopped working. Nothing is changing, and it feels like He is silent. In those silent times God has not abandoned you. He has just paused to plant seeds. Perhaps He has paused to give you rest. It is what you do during those paused times that really matters. Do you turn away? Do you teeter, teeter back and forth on your beliefs? Do you fully trust Him and exalt Him? Paused times can be fragile times. You need to decide how to behave in those times, so you don’t leave the door open for the enemy to come in and tell his lies. If you don’t prepare yourself, you tend to believe those lies. You must continually communicate with God, rest in Him and remember who You are and who you belong to. You belong to God. You have been chosen by Him.
Ephesians 1:4
For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
Trust He has not abandoned you. He has not given up on You. Have faith He is building a home for you. He sees the whole picture, the end of the plan and the beginning of the next plan. He sees how all of it fits together. Can you commit to not giving up on Him? Even better can you commit to exalting Him in these times when you feel as if you have been forgotten? Exalt Him and recognize His work in your life.
Prayer
Dear Father God,
Thank you for the moments of pause that call me to rest and actively seek Your presence. These are moments that I am reminded not to take You for granted and to exalt You. Thank you for choosing me to be part of Your creation. Forgive me for the times I question Your plan and lack patience. Guide me in these moments of pause. Help to slow me down and rest in You and understand the beauty of Your acceptance and love. Help me to not listen to the enemy but instead to always seek you. My future is not my own, it is Yours.
In Jesus name
Amen
