Psalm 62:5
Yes, my soul finds rest in God; my hope comes from Him
Your God is a big God. Have faith in God. Be resilient. God is on your side. He isn’t going to let you fall. You may be upset because something didn’t go your way. It didn’t go your way because it was not God’s way. God saved you from a painful detour or a moment of chaos. You just aren’t aware of it yet.
There are days you feel lost and unsure. You are worn out. Your heart is heavy. You feel surrounded by bad things and you can see the enemy’s attacks on you and those you love. When the enemy can’t get to you directly he looks for other avenues. He knows how to exhaust you and he is working to exhaust you all the time. When you fail to recognize that it is the enemy at work, and instead you give up, you allow the enemy’s power of evil to prevail.
You may be worn. You may fail to resist a negative spiral. You think it is easier to surrender to hopelessness than to press on. Know this, God works with you even through your resistance. He is always working to move you forward. You are not lost. God knows where you are going. Don’t give up. Don’t question. Just press in, press on, and give God your struggle. Your life is not broken. You can handle what ever comes your way. If God didn’t think you could handle it, He would protect you from it. He knows how strong you are. God will not let evil prevail. Be resilient.
Remember God is enough! You are enough! You have enough!
Prayer
Father God,
My heart is heavy and it is
difficult to search for things to be thankful for. I know You give me love and support even when I feel lost and I am struggling. You are there even when I can’t find words or feel the emotion to be grateful. When I’m confused and angry you are there. Forgive me for wanting to surrender and give up on You. I’m tired. Bless me with reassurance. Give me a vision that will sustain me and fill me with hope. Help me to be resilient and remember You are enough!
In Jesus name,
Amen

In what ways have you already been resilient?
Is there something you are worried about or disappointed with? Explain.
How do you plan to be resilient today?
The reason our Lord does not answer our prayers is because He knows what is best for us always. He answers our prayers His way because it is best. He protects us from evil and knows the outcome. We are in the shelter of His arms and cares for us more then we can possibly understand.
He’s got our needs in his hands. So let go and let God.
