Stillness

Called Me Higher

Psalm 62:5

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.

You must introduce yourself to Christ each day. Not because He forgets who you are but because you forget who He is. You forget Him throughout the day. You forget Him while preoccupied with your problems, while busy at work, while complaining about others and tasks at hand. You forget to turn to Him, consult Him and sit in solitude with Him. You forget who He is, and thus must remind yourself and reintroduce yourself each day to His goodness, His Joy, His guidance and His peace. He is more than you can imagine and He unfolds each day in different ways. You learn more about Him. You learn more about you. Listen in silence. What is God revealing to you?

Be Still

Know He is God

Know He is transforming you

Be still and

Tend to your spirit

Know I am you

You are me

We are one

One with each other

One with God

One with love

Present in the moment

Present in the silence

Present in the truth

Present in the presence

Be still and know

His amazing grace

You are saved

There is nothing for you to do

He loves you

All of you

Be still

Introduce yourself to Christ

Welcome Him into your day

Acknowledge His presence in your soul

In your heart

Be still and remind yourself

That you are enough

With God’s grace and love

You are perfect

Your mind may try to confuse you and try to pull you away from what the depth of your soul thirsts for. It causes you to question yourself, others, and God. Planting seeds of doubt about who you are, what you can become and if the effort to be with God is worth it. Hush your mind and sit with the One who is calling you to have a deeper relationship with Him. He is calling you to go where He leads you. God wants to change you from the inside. He wants to lead you. You could choose to stay where you are at, never question and never know how your relationship can grow in His presence and love. But you would miss out on so much. God is intertwined with you. He is in every moment, every breath, and every sound. He is in the absence of all and fulfillment of everything. He is the stillness.

Prayer

Dear Father God,

Thank You for each new day. Thank You for meeting me in the stillness. Forgive me for forgetting You. Forgive me for being preoccupied and distracted. Call me to return to the stillness. Change me for the inside out. You are everything. You have called me. I will go. May I turn to You and allow you to lead me.

In Jesus' name,

Amen
