Trust

Trust In You

Psalm 9:10

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Doing what God asks you to do and trusting in His plan isn’t always easy. It is painful at times. You may want instant gratification, but God is looking to bring you long term gratification. Doing the hard thing is difficult but brings reward. Patience, unconditional trust and accepting discomfort is trying. You are strong and can do this! You do not have to figure anything out. God has it all figured out for you. You may be in a lull and not feeling it. The lull will pass. God works through all your emotions.

The enemy tries to push in when you are just not feeling it. He tries to gain ground. He wants to break the trust you have in God. He wants you to believe God has left you because you didn’t behave a certain way or failed God in some way. The enemy wants you to be on guard, living in fear. He wants you to believe God just doesn’t love you anymore. He has moved on to someone else.

God calls you to trust, to trust unconditionally. Trust in the love He has for you. Trust He has a plan. Trust that His strength will sustain you. Take a moment to notice how God is still showing up even when you’re not feeling it. He is in everything and always consistent. Nature has unconditional trust in Him. He is in the order of the universe, the rising of the sun, the birds singing and the ocean tides. He is in the uncontrollable laughter of a child, the gathering of family and friends, and the quiet moments. He is in moments of unquestionable beauty. He is present in the times when things don't seem to go your way. He is in the gaps. He is in the lull.

Learn to enjoy every moment of God. Love His astounding presence, His silence and His ability to love you. He loves you with an unconditional love and trust. He trusts you will show up. Be present in your lull. It may be uncomfortable, seem inactive, and pointless but it is a necessary time for your personal growth. You can learn from everything. A lull calls you to take care of ourselves. When you slip out of being present you must look back and confront what caused the slip. How did you not show up for yourself the last few days, week or month? Reevaluate what you need in each day to stay present. You may be in a lull, but God is not. God is always active in you and life. God didn’t disappear from your life but perhaps you did. Wake up! Show up!

Unconditional Trust

No limits

Stay in today

Be present with where you are

And with what you have

It is enough

You are enough

God knows your every need

Trust He is supplying it

His timing is perfect

Who you are today is perfect

What you are feeling today, just is

Have unconditional trust in God

He loves you, every part of you

Let it be

Unconditionally let it be!

Prayer

Father God,

Thank you for always showing up. You surround me with your presences. I am constantly reminded of it with each breath I take. You are everywhere. Thank you for being in my lull and having unconditional trust in me. Forgive me for disappearing. Forgive me for not taking care of myself emotionally and physically so I can show up. Help me to take ownership for my lull, accept it and not blame you or anyone else for it. It is a moment in time that will pass. May I be kind to myself and others during this time. May I not use my mood to give myself permission to treat myself and others without love. Help me to have patience as I work on waking up and showing up for life.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen
